Ezandman's Garden
Incaberry.
Genus: Physalis.
Species: Physalis alkekengi.
I am not sure wchih type it is exactly. This year I grew it in the polytunnel and I have left it there to overwinter hopeing that the 2 plants are big and strong enough to just about survive the winter and therefore pick up in the Spring and make big plants with more fruit. Not quite sure if this will happen though as they are quite tender, especially the leaves. The stems are quite thick though and the root system strong. I have wrapped them in a bit of mesh as well. The picture has obviously been taken in the summer.
