Acer Orange Dream
Genus: Acer.
Species: Acer palmatum.
This beautiful Japanese maple will enhance any garden. It will also look wonderful in a pot or tub on the patio or balcony. The plant produces a branching, upright bush with fresh yellow/green lobed leaves. The young growing tips have orange leaves, providing an attractive contrast. The autumn colour is a breath-taking yellow.
Height 125cm, spread 100cm.
Cut back long shoots in March to promote compact growth.
Likes morning sun: shade or dappled shade. The plant is fully hardy but will need some protection if planted in a pot. Likes a sandy humus rich soil. If this is not available add some peat to the planting hole.
