Semi-herbaceous perennial with stems bearing deep blue-mauve flowers, having six narrow sepals becoming pinky-mauve. Flowers in late spring until early autumn.
Exposed or sheltered position. Grows in any soil, prefers moist, well-drained. Grows to around 2.5 metres.
