Distylium racemosum
The Isu Tree is more of a spreading shrub with narrow, ovate, leathery, glossy, dark green 5-8cm long leaves. Distylium racemosum produces the most beautiful, dainty flowers. The flowers lack in petals however the red calyces and purple stamens are very showy, produced in 3-5cm long upright racemes in late Spring and early Summer. Suitable for pot growing.
