Yellow Alder

Species: Turnera ulmifolia.

This is a perennial, dense, compact shrub in tropic zones. It reaches around 60 cm in height.

Flowers have five petals and are yellow with a darker yellow in the centre. The flowers last for just one day.

Leaves alternate, are prominently veined with lateral veins more or less parallel to one another. Leaf margins are serrated.

This is a very drought resistant plant in tropical areas.
