Golden Gardinia

Genus: Gardenia.

Species: Gardenia mutabilis 'Soleil d'Or'.

Flowers emerge as an ivory white and then change as they mature. They turn to yellow and then become yellow-orange to medium orange.

Petals are asymmetrical, slightly curved, and spathe-like. Usually 8 petals.

Calyx is usually 4.5"-5.5" making it appear pendent-like.

The flowers have a warm honey, slightly caramelized, jasmine-like fragrance.
