I didn't realize how much I liked gerbera daisies until I kept being drawn to them in the cut flower section of the grocery store...when my grandmother died, I was surprised to see my mother had had made for her an arrangement of all gerbera daisies...when I asked her why, she told me it had been my grandmother's favorite flower! And I never knew!! well, that settled it I had to get some - I now have two - a strawberry red and a more orange red. I wouldn't mind adding a white one or yellow one, but with the brown centers. Unfortunately the gerberas did not do well on my balcony. Much too hot for it. I might try them again in the Fall.
