Miscanthus sinensis ferner 'Osten'

Genus: Miscanthus.

Species: Miscanthus sinensis.

Deciduous, clump forming perennial grass with erect stems and mostly basal, flat, erect or arching linear, blue-green leaves, up to 1.2m high. pyramidal panicles up to 40cm long of silky, hariry pale mauve colour, late summer autumn.

bought from romford market late august 2008 - i have moved the white astilbe out of the corner of the right hand/front bed and placed my lovely new Miscanthus in it's place, as it has far more height.
