Runner Beans are coming on a treat!

Thanks Homebird, I'm surprised myself how well they've come on, because the day after I planted them out, the strong winds arrived and they battered them good and proper, I didn't think I'd be having any beans this year. I have also got 2 other lots growing ,one lot up an oblisk and another lot up tall bean sticks but they were planted after the first lot, so arn't so far advanced.

They look great well ahead of mine too.

Not to worry 6d, they'll soon catch up. My OH made me this very large box this year to grow them in instead off in tubs, and they have done wonders this year considering the strong winds we have had. We'll be ok for beans this year. I have also grown different varietys up canes and oblisk, but they arn't quite as forward as these.

That box is lovely your OH has done himself proud, at least with having so many will save money from buying from shops as they are so expensive

First lot planted in pots on the 17 march, yes they do taste better from the garden
