Yes it is.This is now 4 year old and getting rather big.Not sure how hard you can cut these back without it looking twiggy ?

I don't know either. I have never been able to grow them, but I wish I could.

They are really hardy and should not be a problem for you.This particular one faces east and less than a 1 1/2 mile from the North East coast. It's in ordinary/heavy soil. All I do is feed it a general top slow release fertilizer in the spring. It does get the sun when it is out.
