I just read Grenville's blog about wearing rings while gardening...! very good lesson there! I rarely wear gloves when gardening so as a result I have lost two rings to the soil...one I was lucky enough to find...the other will come to light before I leave here next year, I hope!

If the ring is valuable you may be able to buy a cheap metal detector, may find some gold nuggets also ;-).
