Yes, I was shocked when I first saw it, Bonkersbon. This was the prettiest courtyard, the one my apt overlooks has less plants and only one tree, but I guess that helped to keep the damage there minimal.

20 years ago we had the closest thing to a hurricane we ever experienced. It was estimated that in one night we lost 15 million trees throughout the south.

it's good that at least none of the buildings appear damaged.My heart goes out to all those who lose everything, whether it's flood or wind-the result is too awful to contemplate.
Definitely too old to start from scratch again!

Wow! 15 million trees! It will be interesting to see what the damage is in Texas...amazing how inept the electricity grid is, some poor people STILL don't have power... Thanks for your comment Bonkersbon!

Thanks Arlene, it is heartbreaking, especially for those poor people who don't have a lot and lived in mobile homes and lost it all...or the people on the coast. =(
