HI Louise,
Im afraid I lost the tag - got three for my birthday from my Mum and although the other to are ok they are far behind this one - I think its because they like their feet to be cold. I was one of the existing plants before we built the decking round it - the process was either going to kill it or give it a boost - turns out it is very happy here - massive roots run under the decking and we only water it in extremely prolonged hot weather - not a common problem for us!

It certainly is happy there :)
Lucky you not having to worry about watering, i have to daily in the dry weather and yes, Clematis HATE drought :(
