I planted it Kate around 1979 or early 80's. It was like a tall pencil or maybe like a bamboo stake.
I was worried that all the plants on it or under it might cause rot for this western native tree. Just the opposite!..it's looking better than ever.
Of course its too big for the scale of the little rental cottage. But 35 years ago I had no idea...it would ever be this big!

It is. I also btw,never imagined I would still be living here ( or living) near 40 years later. It used to be nieces the age of babies walking by that tree..and now its grandkids who are near baby's walking around that tree.
