Hi SL - done my prediction this morning - looks snowy next week upto Friday - should be milder at last - for a short while :)) We escaped with a dusting here

that will be nice some milder weather after all this lot, that's good then as you had it bad last time, our snow has frozen solid here..

yes still have a fair bit from Saturday night frozen

grrr car batt flat up to my arms in snow,ice and engine...hate winter ...

You get wee buggys that fit on the back! lol and saddlebags..my Dad had one in the bar going over with wee stirrups for me, and Mum had a wee seat on the back of hers,,so I used to get chauffeured around! lol

Couldn't drive the car, even if we could manage to dig the wheels out far enough to put the snow chains on. The diesel is frozen, and we don't want to drain the (newish) battery by constantly trying to turn the motor over. Bother! Friend had to get herself down the mountain and to the airport this morning, and had to call the heavy snow-shifting crew in to clear her road last night - she thinks it's going to cost her the best part of €750 !!!!!!!!!! She thought her Landrover was going to cope with pretty much any conditions. She was wrong! We'll stay snowed in here, thank you very much. We've had three days of gorgeous weather now, but the temperatures are still quite low, so not much melting going on. Shall get heavy duty boots and balaclava on later and try getting some exercise. I tried going up the garden to find some sprouts last night, and sank so deeply into a drift, OH had to come and pull me out - he was laughing so much I wanted to hit him, but waited 'til I was free. Seemed like the wise thing to do. Found sprouts. Tasted gorgeous.
