Amazing! beautiful plant, never seen this before. It staggers me how plants that arre supposed to be tender can survive a winter like we've just had!

Wowee, what a big one, i've seen these in garden centres and have always fancied one.
Aren't they acid lovers ?
Do you have yours in a pot, or is your soil acid ?
Also, (questions, questions!) how old is this one now , are they fairly quick growers ?

Thanks Karensue and Louise, this is growing in the soil against a very large Eucalyptus its been in about 6/8yrs and I mulch round it with Ericacious compost every 12 months. I should guess its about 5.5ft Ht and 5ft spread. It was roughly 1.5ft when I bought it.
