always heard of boisterous behaviour as "cutting capers"...hmmm...wonder if harvesting these makes one high? volunteers?

Good one Lori, but I think that perhaps it comes from the meaning of caper as in skipping like a goat - caprine/capriole - as you can see I love discovering the origins and real meanings of words!!
