I had to buy 2 trolleys to get these beauties home. I had to buy 3 acers, 3 aquilegias, 1 wisteria,, 1 trollius, 6 lily bulbs, 1 bougainvillea and I can't remember what else. Lovely show:-)

Hi Louise, great show wasn't it/ I needed another day there at least, preferably sunny. My garden is in a horrible mess at the moment and I have loads of plants in pots and any other container I can find, they're all sitting on the patio. I've picked through the roots and washed as many favourite plants that i could in an effort to rid my borders of celandine and divided some. The makeover should be complete in another 3-4 weeks and then my work really begins...can't wait. It was lovely to meet you, hope you didn't think I was too mad...I don't get let out very often:-)

Freesia, it was brilliant and the acers were such a bargain. I was looking for trollius alabaster after seeing it in an aquatic exhibit in the main marquee and eventually found one, it's so beautiful and it was soooo cheap lol:-)

The trollius has got to be for your pond, if it is an Aquatic plant....would love
to see what it is like when established? And also, bouganvillia, to be quite
truthful, i have not heard of this 1....will have to look it up in 1 of my garden books....: >)))

The trollius is not actually aquatic, but looks lovely near a pond. No wonder you have'nt heard of bouganvillia Freesia, I was tired, I meannt bougainvillea lol:-) I'll change the spelling:-)

Hiya Ba - I wondered what else you bought, apart from 'my' Aquilegia!
No wonder you needed an extra trolley. Well done you - I enjoyed the show too, in spite of the 'orrible weather...and of course the highlight at 1 o' clock at Vicky's!!!! :-)))))))

Hi Spritz, I think you'll find that my aquilegia has longer spurs than yours... There's never long enough to see everything..and buy everything lol. It was lovely to see you though, you are truly Goy Royalty Spritz and your surprise offer of a garden swap is accepted gratefully;-)))

Me? Royalty? Stop trying to get round me, Ba - it WON'T work, I assure you!
Good Aquilegias on that stand, though, weren't they! :-)))

They were beautiful, I could have bought more. Do you grow trollius alabaster Spritz?
9 May, 2010
Yes - so could I! I wish I'd bought that pink and cream one as well, now......:-(((
I haven't got 'Alabaster', but I have 'Cheddar' and 'Lemon Queen' which isn't what I'd call 'lemon' coloured - more orange! LOL.
9 May, 2010
Alabaster is very pale, yet more colourful than cream I think, but not lemon...have you seen it?
9 May, 2010
Nope - is your new one in flower yet? 'Cheddar' is a pale-ish colour, a cream, really.
9 May, 2010
I've just looked at your cheddar, it is quite similar, if you google it you'll see what I mean. She has two buds so i'll put a pic on as soon as it opens:-)
9 May, 2010
OK. That would be good.
Have you checked the plant label in your cream Aquilegia? Mine says 'A. 'State Texas'....?????
10 May, 2010
Mine is the same Spritz, I've put a picture on, showing my exceptionally long spurs ha :-)
