beautiful phormium, do you bring it in greenhouse during winter or leave him out....

Hi Cazcat. We bought him last year and didnt protect him until half way through the winter when we noticed he was wasnt looking good. i wrapped him in fleece and in spring cut out the damaged leaves. Over summer he has come on leaps and bounds, hasnt reached the stage he is at in the photo, but yesterday i was out protecting his crown with layers of straw, wrapped him in heavy duty fleece and moved him up against a sheltered house wall. Hopefully he'll fair better than last year as i've acted before the frost. We'll have to wait and see. No way i could take him in though, he's just too heavy.
