Well Volval they must have liked you has mine arn`t to invasive yet my friend three doors down has the vinca major everywhere and is doing her darnest to get rid of it.

That's interesting! I almost bought one this year because I do like the variegated one. The one I had, which escaped was almost in the dark, below the huge privet hedge where nothing will grow. It outdid the ivy there and travelled! I wonder if it's soil type, or light? The soil would have been very poor.

Ah, I think you are right about the light has my friend planted hers on a bit of ground under some elder trees where nothing else had grown.

I stick to vinca minor now! I had a lovely vinca major but it even escaped from its pot and took me years to get rid of -must have liked me, it was everywhere. The periwinkles are so useful, aren't they?
