Yes, Homebird, it does glow. It fades a little as the season progresses, but still a pretty colour come the autumn.

Do you have plenty of shelter from the wind Connie? on the coast here, we have to find really sheltered spots for them or they fail miserably. Two of my three are in pots at the side of the house and the other one is in the shelter of other trees and the fence and it does fine there. Do you find this one gets sun-scorched at all?

This one is in a sheltered spot and doesn't suffer from wind damage much. It does get the full blast of any morning sunshine though, and fades and scorches quite badly (depending on the amount of sunshine - in the past couple of years this has not been a problem!!!!)
I do love to see them in pots too, K.
