Mahonia gracilipes - 2016

If you though all mahonias carried yellow flowers in winter or early spring, you would be wrong. Eventually growing to five feet, this needs well-drained soil in sun or part shade. The undersides of the leaves are almost white, and the tiny, scented flowers are carried in late summer.

Yes I for one did think they all came with yellow flowers, I like this one very much.
