I think we had two goes at the snow. One just after christmas, it might have stayed for a week. And another for about the same lenght. I remember having to go to Heathrow to pick my son up from a plane from portugal. There was blizzard warnings when I left at 10pm which scared me but 50 miles down the road it was clear. Coming back was a bit hairy, couldn't see 5 foot in front but it was very short lived!
