I dug up my blight ridden tomatoes today after taking all the tomatoes off earlier in the week.

We've got an incinerator in the work area where my greenhouse lives, and we had a hard two days chopping and burning the escallonia hedge and the encroaching brambles from the farm field over the back - so my tomato plants got well and truly burnt - and my fringe got scorched! It went up like a rocket! The good news is that WHEN my husband has managed to hack out the roots, I shall be able to design and plant a new border, backed by a trellis. What fun! - purple, gold and white, I think... White Solanum? mmm.

I think my tomatoes have got blight. I've picked off the good ones. Are they still safe to eat?
