I have some verbascum that self seeded a few years ago, love to see them pop up every year now. Never bought a plant or seeds so I guess they came in on the wind or birds etc.

I would love some that pop, trouble is my OH tends to pull up anything tiny before we know if its seedling or a weed! lol!
Still I may try these next year.

Funny you should say that Tet because I think they do look like weeds when they come through. The leaves are very coarse aren't they. The flowers on the other hand are stunning! I only have one, this colour and it never spreads. My soil is slightly acid, which they hate, so I'm fortunate to keep the one I have!

In that case Karen, it should thrive in my garden, being slightly alkaline, tho a bit heavy with clay.
