my local council decided to spray weed killer in my garden

just starting to work out what I have lost
I did eat some sage the day he did it and my gums were bleeding when I brushed my teeth
I had a man on the phone today telling to eat my veg as if nothing has happened
The plants need testing to prove it I suppose and he said the council won't do it

eat your veg as if nothing has happened,,,,,,,,,,,, after eating some and your gums bled, sorry but i would be wary of eating. do you know what the weed killer was

looks like hilite which has glyphosate in it
My friend asked someone spraying the path what they use and he got the leaflet from the man
Is this legal ?
