Re-dug over bindweed from this bed

First dug up the dreaded stuff last autumn. This is it's 2nd dig over, grrrrr! Had to dig up and throw away my red hot poker and some lilies, as the weed was too bound up in their roots, sob!
Never dig in this weed! If you cut up one into 100 pieces, you will have 100 plants. Every piece roots............ Best thing to do is spray with ( or paint on or dip the tops of the plants growth into ) a systemic weedkiller like Tumbleweed. It goes back to the roots.
