Grows a couple of feet tall, and the flowers should keep their colour as they go over

What about Achellea creep? I stopped growing Achillea, the older ones were so invasive.

Newly planted this year so I'll see how it goes, although Beth Chatto calls it "clump forming." It replaced 'Walther Funcke' (which doesn't creep) but was too short for its position

Yes, I had trouble getting rid of The Pearl as well, but this is a different species so better behaved
