Actaea simplex 'Hillside Black Beauty' - 2014

Perennial for moist, humus rich soil in part shade, when it can reach six feet. This one has not got so tall this year as in previous years. The foliage keeps the purple colour, even in fairly heavy shade. This used to be a cimicifuga, so some nurseries may still list it under the old name.

I grow this plant as well. Love the colour of the leaves.

Love these, have just dug them all up and potted them, because they have never flowered, obviously too dry a soil, so will find better spots for them, great plants.
