Its an onion!!!! aliums are onions aren't they I like onion family flowers theyre so archetectural and this one is gorgeous, is it also edible?

no its not edible, the bulb is quite small, like a large spring onion in size.

I think I have these in the garden I was looking at them today and wondering what they were, I will need to take a photo to see if they are the same they are real nice,like fireworks.
