Princess Fabiana

Princess Fabiana (Alstroemeria)

This my very last attempt at growing an Alstroemeria. I just don't succeed with them. This one has variegated leaves.

What's your secret, then? Louise manages to get them going so well she says they're almost like thugs! Mine just fizzle out...I do suspect snails, though. :-((

I have some that are thugs and others more difficult, just bought another orange, bought it from Morries £6.00!! they are in ordinary soil, which we mulch in the winter to protect them they are much later flowering this year.....

Hmmm...could it have been the cold/wet in the winter, then? It just seems such a shame (and a waste of money) that I can't keep them.
