What a beautiful capture Naoto...... of this interesting and exotic looking plant. How long the flower lasts?

@Klahanie.....
I don't know about this flower very well (this is the first year flowering).....All I know is that it should be in partial shade/shady spot during hot summer.....

F.Y.I.....moreover, it is hermaphrodite plant so needs more than 2 bulbs to set seeds (but it becomes either male/female depending on growing conditions)

So interesting. Thanks for the info. I love it very much.

:-)

This is so unusual. I thought it might be an orchid.

@Bathgate
Not that difficult to buy this in the UK, but quite expensive still.....I tried to get some, which was cheaper, in Japan earlier this year but they're all sold out :-(

I wouldn't be allowed to bring one back to the US from Japan. At least you have one. Are they difficult to propagate?

@Bathgate......yes, as I said earlier, this is a hermaphrodite plant so you'll need at least two bulb to have seeds (they seldom increase bulbs (so I heard) so collecting seeds seems the only way)

See who else is growing Arisaema sikokianum (Arisaema).

See who else has plants in genus Arisaema.
