Have this one, it's lovely, but tends to be a bit thuggish in this garden!

I don't know how much wider it would've been with more rain. It's quite a tall plant, the one here is 4ft. It's also dense and tends to push other things out of the way. Next year I will cut it back in June if there's enough foliage. Good luck with it Andrew - it might grow differently in your garden.

The height I know about. It's planted with two other, very tall asters (six footers), so I'll watch the roots

There's a VERY dark purple one called' Violetta', and a lighter mauve one, that was labelled as 'Purple Dome', but clearly isn't, as that is a much shorter variety (it's the next photo)
