These are the leaves on one of my caladiums, Morgana - they go dormant for a while during the end of autumn through winter. They've just started to break through once more!

I really like that - just done some research, can't find anywhere in the UK that supplies Caladiums currently, never mind this particular one. Got a varietal name, Bernieh?

5 Oct, 2009

Sorry Bamboo - I don't know the varietal name of this. I've had my caladiums for many years ... I always take them with me when I move house. I've lost any labels there might have been ... this one I've had for over twenty years.

Its either white wings or white queen, I would go with the white queen as it has red green and the white. I 'll keep searching though or there is cranberhttp://ffsp.net/resources/UFCaladiums1007.pdfry star link image

Thanks for the info. Morgana - I'm just not sure. I've looked up photos of white queen and white wings but neither seems to match - as this one matures it does turn more of a green. Somewhere on my photos pages there's a shot of this when it was more mature from earlier in the year. I'll have to see if I can find that shot.

Have you tried the link with cranberry star

5 Oct, 2009

Yes tried that one Morgana - but mine doesn't seem to have the green veins that Cranberry Star has. Have posted some more photos of it - from earlier this year.
