Carex morrowii 'Fisher'

Formerly known as 'Fishers Variety', this is an easy-going 'grass' for shade with unusual brown and grey 'flowers' in spring. Forms an upright clump which I cut down in early spring

It only gets to about eighteen inches tall and less in width - a good clump former. It is evergreen but I generally cut it to the ground and give it a good feed in early spring as it looks tatty by then
