Ceanothus Concha

Ceanothus Concha (Ceanothus burkwoodii (California lilac))

Splashed out on this today after taking a good look at Annella's photos. It will hopefully grow up and hide another half of an overlooking house. It has loads of buds on...

This is really common up here DD, the scots like their evergreens! No wonder, our winter is so long!

And you get the lilac effect each spring. :-) Should make a great mask for the neighboring house.

My Ceonothus have all been quick growers Karen, this one looks a nice size already. The one that grows in the bottom corner of my garden came in a bag from Sainsbury's 9 years ago and reached that size in 5 years. I trim it as a tree. Will post a pic :-)))
