Small bulb, flowering in early autumn, for well-drained soil in a sunny position. The petals tend to lie flat on the ground, and are followed by linear leaves. This variant has particularly dark pink flowers and a smaller white throat than the normal form. May also be listed under the names merendera montanum, merendera bulbocodioides, or bulbocodium montanum!
