Another dwarf bulb, up to six inches high, for well-drained soil in a sunny site. It doesn't like too much wet in the summer, so is often grown in a pot or bulb frame, but will also tolerate a raised bed (as here). Alternatively, dig up the bulbs when the foliage has died down, and store them in a dry place for a few weeks before replanting.
