Jade plant ( crassula ovata)

Jade plant ( crassula ovata) (Crassula ovata (Jade tree))

Purchased last year as a 4" tropical, it has grown more quickly than I expected. Must enjoy being neglected!!

Hi Gram...I have one and I think you are right...I fussed over mine because the new growth kept withering and falling off...gave it a haircut and left it alone in a corner of my deck all last summer...when I brought it in in the fall it had become healthy...and I'm touching wood as I say this, but I think it has made it and will enjoy another summer or neglect.lol.

I have one the same. I have to take cuttings from it every few years, as it gets way to big, & out of control, with the leaves dropping off. I've tried everything I can, but to no avail. It grows like a trailing plant would. I don't know if they're meant to do that or not? I always thought it was a money tree, or is that one that's similar?
