Thank you, Meanie :)
Having looked up blackcurrant swirl, I agree. It was a mixed pack of seeds like I said before ... so I'll grow the rest next year :) Might be some other colours in there.
The problem with the bloom is that it's a double, but the inner is having trouble 'plumping-up'. This is the 3rd bloom so I hope it will open fully ... the other 2 opened like this but they looked like the had a balled up purple tissue inside. Shame.
No, sadly Mrs V has not changed her mind. I think we may have our first plant 'Sticking Point' ... but, as her Mum and Dad have fallen in love with it - it's staying ... you may remember I said I had 2, so I'll gift them the spare one after I've over wintered it next year.

I always had the same trouble with the doubles - sustained warm weather brings out the best in them, but some hope this summer!!!

It's a shame that warm spell didn't continue as far as this plant goes - some of the blooms di open perfectly with no sign of slowing down.

That's a very strong looking plant Mrv. Looks like "Blackcurrant Swirl" to me.
Has Mrsv changed her mind about it now?
