I've been watching and waiting for these buds to open up since they started to form in February....so glad to see it at last!

Yes, thanks both of you. It was Spritz's one that hooked me in! I've never grown Deutzia before, so looking forward to seeing it develop. :D

We grow a lovely variegated one with a pretty white flower, trouble is I cannot get to it to photograph it.....
