I keep looking your plants up to get more info: you have such an ecclectic and experimental bent! Thanks for showing so many unusual plants. What is the fragrance like? magnolia? Are the red twigs colorful in winter? Slow growing? Are you pleased with it?

As I have a reduced sense of smell, I have not been able to get anything from these flowers so it can't be a very strong scent. The red stems keep their colour all year and the leaves are evergren. Not a star plant but has a good presence and I'd thoroughly recommend it for a quiet but important corner. It was one of the most asked about plants when I opened last month even though it wasn't in flower

Thanks. Need good bones to support the froth. I am adding your photos to my favourites as a reference for things to look for, but only got through p 20 yesterday! Thought I'd added Gomphostigma virgatum - Otterbossie, but don't see it now. I got something labeled only Silver Bush, with white flowers, that I'm hoping will be the same or similar. Thanks especially for putting the botanical name with the photos & being so prolific in your posts!
