I love these late summer bulbs. the foliage on this isn't just pale green either.

this one is in a pot and goes in the cold greenhouse through the winter. I have some smaller bulbs that will go in the groud next spring. I do plant them very deep and the E bicolor have been in the ground for 5 yrs now.

Thank you for that information. I have started planting my bulbs of all types more deeply than recommended because the squirrels are a real nuisance in stealing them.

That is lovely. We saw these at Kellie Castle in the summer and I got some seeds from the seed exchange. Do you grow it in a pot and bring it indoors in winter or is it out all year?
