What a lovely blend of colours, Ann - did you have to plant it in acid soil to keep it this colour ?

Thanks all. This one came from Sainsburys last year and has been planted in ericaceous compost to keep it blue.

This hydrangea is superb .... I am wondering if it is similar to a group of four that I have growing beneath a bedroom window at the front of the house. All I can remember is that at the end, the blooms were the most amazing crimson, with some being a mottled pink with cream & some being a blue with cream ... my husband swears they all started out as blue! (I was too busy moving in & getting the rooms sorted out & the china unpacked to notice). But will take special note when they flower again in the summer (very early spring here now). As there are four separate plants closely together, I originally thought it was just one big bush, but now I am thinking they might all be different ones, but they sort of grow entwined. Do you know the name of this one?

Enjoyed the sheep joke! (coming from a New Zealander in a land full of sheep, that is a big compliment lol)

Lol Dwyllis! Poor old Jane has had trouble with sheep in her garden. The Hydrangea came from a supermarket and had no name. The soil in my garden turns them all pink, it will be nice if you get a mix of colours.
