St John's Wort (Hypericum x Moserianum St John's Wort Little Misstery)

Plant was put Alkaline soil with a PH of 7. Initially it was thriving but now tips of leaves are turning a copper colour!
Does anyone have any idea if this is a problem?

may be nothing to do with the soil could be cold winds if it is new growth,i have a similar situation with new Acer leaves at this time of year
