Hi Keith. Anything like this you know of with white flowers? I like the fact it has a bit of height!

Try Impatiens tinctoria. Tuberous and potentially hardy with a mulch or lift the tubers and store. Very special!

I did a bit of googling Keith and I thought Tinctoria would be the best. But it's too big and those tubers will apparently break a container. So I think I'll give it a miss. Mainly because I'd have to find room for it indoors somewhere in the winter and at 5' x 3' I think it would become a bit of a triffid! Beautiful though.

You could try I.balfourii. Pink and white growing to about a metre up and out.

Thanks. I'll look that one up. I didn't see that one when I did my research. The other one I saw was a white variety of Himalayan Balsam, which is lovely...but banned! lol!

Perfectly legal to grow it but if you let it escape you could be prosecuted.

Yeah..the forst place they would run to would be my friendly farmers land and the burn at the bottom of the field. If i tried to grow it I wouldn’t be able to sleep! ?
