Such a pretty flower, colours and shape. It reminds me a large sea shell.

I've been thinking about getting this one Nancy...your picture has convinced me! Lovely

It is very nice and a much stronger plant than when it bloomed 2 years ago. This iris won the Dykes Medal in 2007. I will post another photo for you.

Great! I know it won a Dykes and its been used extensively by Fred Kerr for breeding (he has some smashing iris but not available in UK {:-(( ), but there is nothing like seeing it in a garden setting. Thank you.

This is exceptionally pretty! As I was telling Tet, I have a scratch list...from the goY pages...and this one is going on it! Could I order this thro Vesey's, do you think?

Lori I order all of these special irises from Trails End Iris Garden in Ontario . They are very good to deal with .

Thanks Nancy...I'll give them a google. It sounds familiar. I ordered the I. pseudacorus from a local nursery who ordered it from an Iris specialist...maybe Trails End? lol.

What else?

See who else is growing Iris germanica (Orris).

See who else has plants in genus Iris.

This photo is of "bearded iris" in Nancym's garden
