Iris 'Pixie'

Iris 'Pixie' (Iris reticulata 'Pixie')

Sadly the flower was bitten off by slugs :o(
but still pretty enough to photo.

Hi Sbg, you can't blame the slugs, they do look very tasty, as you say, still worth a photograph, Derek.

Yes you can Derek! Lol.
Why can't they eat grass, the selfish wee so-and sos?

Hi Mouldy, would you eat grass if you had the choice of these, wish they did though, Derek.

You've got a point, Derek. Lol.

there are many more to open and I've put some eggshells down as a deterrent.

Maybe just Glasgow slugs, Seaburn, but I found eggshells to be about as much use as a chocolate teapot!
I placed half shells, quarter shells...all the way down to nearly powdered shells around my plants last year, as I wanted to find the most effective form.
None of them worked.
Andrew swears by copper bands and, trawling the net, I tend to agree with him, as they 'eloctrocute' the wee blighters, chemically.
