I have watched utube how to pollinate (Iris Breeding at Stout Gardens)
That gratis one will be open tomorrow by the look of it

I have a lot of Iris which are somewhat darker this year, than last, maybe it depends on what the weather has been like. I hope your Royal Snowcap flowers that is a truly beautiful purple.
Oh no, more torrential hail here again!!!!

I bet you are thrilled you have one of the only two Gnarly Gnome Day lillies in the country.
Your avatar photo is clearer if I click on your avatar photo it becomes clearer and bigger its a lovely Day lilly.
Lol No not having a water feature of birds . I was trying to get a photo of the Wood pecker but its to far into the nature reserve at the back of my home which follows onto the side of canal.
I shall look out for your photos this mirning then. Thanks

Good idea, taking several photos, different times of day, different age of the bloom, makes a difference. I have not seen Miles Ahead in real life.
About 1/2 of my last year purchases are not going to flower this year, but apparently it was a poor wet year at rhizome ripening time in France last year, and a cat? broke off stems of two.

That's great Gg. Did you wait or gently ease open the last of the petals in excitement. I do hope any rain doesn't ruin it. There are always the buds lower down.
