Liatris spicata 'Florestan's White' (Liatris spicata)

The books say this can reach five feet but mine have never got more than half this height (and were planted in 2000). For a sunny spot. Winter wet is their biggest enemy so a well-drained soil is necessary in the UK. After the flowers fade, the plants look tatty so are best planted where they can moulder away out of sight
